Lady Musgrave Island- The southernmost point in the Great Barrier Reef- It was spectacular. The weather was fabulous and we were able to snorkel, scuba dive and swim with the fishes. The only hairy part was getting there, the seas were angry that day, folks. The waves were brutal and we were glad we took our motion sickness pills, well at least Duey and I did. We didn't think to give some to the kids and they, along with half the people on the boat, had a very bad time for the 1 1/2 hour trip out to the reef. Lots of barf bags being used that day. But once there, the lagoon was calm and it was wonderful. Lady Musgrave Island is tiny- just 400m by 700m and made entirely out of coral from the reef. Check it out:
Can you believe how blue the water is? I swear we are not in a swimming pool. It was a spur of the moment trip and one we are glad we took.

Oh, what fun that looks like! I'm so jealous of your vacation. I need to get away for a few days! Funny how "swim with the fishes" means different things in Australia and New York. We miss you so much and can't wait to see you in only 5 weeks! Have safe and fun travels until then! Call me soon!
